Student moves often involve a compact load but tight arrival slots, shared spaces and different accommodation agreements. Check whether you are moving into halls, a private rental, a room with a resident landlord or another arrangement. Rules and responsibilities are not interchangeable.
Before arrival
- Confirm the key-collection slot and permitted unloading route.
- Check supplied furniture, kitchen items and included bills.
- Read the agreement and payment schedule.
- Coordinate shared purchases to avoid several copies of the same item.
Keep identification, study equipment, chargers and first-night supplies in your own bag. Photograph condition at arrival and raise inventory discrepancies through the provider's process. Label belongings clearly for shared areas without displaying sensitive details.
At move-out, check notice or end-date requirements, cleaning and key-return arrangements directly with the accommodation provider.
